![]() It was entertaining to have freedom over creating officers and assigning characters how you saw fit, almost like WWE Universe. Lastly, I've only played one other Empires game DW8. I was never really in it for the history or the story, which I've always found to be confusing what with all the shifting allegiances and every single major character from opposing sides convinced that they're the good guys, save for maybe Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo. I enjoy Warriors games for the power fantasy and the large scale combat filled with epic moments. I love the animations and appreciate the much closer camera and its lower orientation, resulting in the most cinematic, real-time battle sequences seen in all Warriors games. I feel that DW9's combat is the most fluid and most impactful of any Warriors game to date, and gives players a lot of freedom and creativity in mowing down enemies.
